Does anyone know what to do about white marks on toenails? does it have to do with extended use of nail polish

White marks are generally caused by using polishes that contain Formaldehyde or Tolulene. These chemicals dry out the nail bed. Your best defense is to get a pedicure and have the nail tech lightly buff your nails. Don't use any nail polish until the dryness goes away. Use a cuticle oil daily. This will help rehydrate the nail bed. When you are ready to polish again use Poshe Antimicrobial Base Coat. This has an anti-fungal built in to the polish that will help eliminate further white spots. Stay away from any polishes that contain these chemicals. If left untreated, you could possibly end up with a fungus.Does anyone know what to do about white marks on toenails? does it have to do with extended use of nail polish

You have an infection, seriously, get to the doctor for a blood workup.
you don't have an infection. I get white marks once in a while in my nails but they just grow out. And, being a guy, I dont' have the nailpolish to be considered.
Could be lack of Calcium, a fungal infection, or whatever. My girlfriend has lost those white marks under her fingernails since giving up smoking. Time for a lifestyle change?
Your diet will dictate this. Also is a sign of arsenic in the body. Not sure what foods to eat in order to prevent this.
it could be a calcium blip. as far as i know. its perfectly healthy, shouldnt be anything to do with too much polish
