never had thought about it, until your question. I go for a pedicure, it is very inexpensive in Thailand, a hair cut and shave is a dollar ,at the village barber.

I clean my toenails with clippers and a thin file. No polish, just clean. OK, maybe some polish when I'm going out and it's called for.
Use toeclippers instead.
My thoughts? I have never previously thought about people who pick their toenails.
