certain colors that are really rich (reddish hues especially) tend to taint your toenails and turn them yellow. always use a base coat so you can avoid this. :) meanwhile, if you want to fix it, cut your toenails and let them grow back for a bit without polish.I always keep my toenails painted and now theyre a littlee yellow,?
The only thing to do now is to let them grow out and then paint them with only light, pastel colors.
go and get a manicure. get the gel nails put on. they look good. and also help make ur nails stronger and look better x
You can lighten them a bit by using whitening toothpaste on an old toothbrush and giving them a scrub. It takes a few days but the lighten up nicely.
Don't put any kind of nail polish over them until it goes away, not even clear. I know for fingernails that were stained yellow my friend used to rub some lemon juice on them once a day for a week or so. When you start polishing them again try to use a good base-coat to see if that can prevent some of the staining.

I 'm not sure how to get rid of the yellow color, but always use a clear base coat under nail polish. Some nail colors will turn nails yellow when applied directly to the nail.
well they're yellow because no ';air'; is getting to them. My sister would paint her nails constantly and with the constant nail polish removers and different color polish....your nail surface isnt used to having no ';air'; hence the yellow (suffication)......





leave the nail polish off and try clear coats vs. colored coats.....

There is no quick fix for this I'm afraid. Use clear nail varnish and keep your toe nails cut short until the yellow stain grows out. Then, in future, if you want to paint your toe nails with colour use a clear nail varnish underneath to reduce the risk of staining. You could, if you have the money have your toe nails french manicured with gel to disguise the colour without staining until the yellow grows out. Contact your local nail technision.
You need to a clear coat on before you put on the color to protect your nail.
try using only clear nail polish until it goes away. reds blues yellows and picks (etc.) make them turn yellow
this happens to me all the time because [like you] i wear nail polish all the time, and when i take it off to re-paint it or paint it a different color-it's yellow





Try this:


buy a base coat or clear nail polish to go beneath your darker colored polish


Try lighter colors, like sheer pink





don't keep polish on too long, thats what causes the yellow


re-paint or remove every month
